Message from Hunter:

Our band Art Motel starts playing at 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7 & 8, at The Appalachian-American Treasure in Thomas, West Virginia: The Purple Fiddle

Abe Partridge, Afroman, Angela Perley, Austin Stambaugh, The Avett Brothers, Buffalo Wabs& The Price Hill Hustle, Daniel Donato, Donna The Buffalo, Greensky Bluegrass, Hello June,Joe Pug, John R. Miller, Josee McGee, Keller Williams, Lost Dog Street Band, Micah Kesselring, MojoFlo, Nolan Taylor, Oyo, Parker Millsap, Ragged Union, Ray Flanagan, Reed Fohel, Shovels & Rope, Sierra Ferrell, Stripmall Ballads… have all played The Fiddle before.

I’ve shared stage-time with six of these acts. Others are friends, peers, we’ve met once, I’ve seen them perform, or their music is in my regular zeitgeist. (And one time Reed Fohel and I sang on the street together in Pittsburgh after he opened a show for Todd Snider.)

Later in the day on Saturday you’ll find – The Purple Fiddle and Bigger Beast Records Presents:

The 1st Annual 21 Songwriters Music Festival (WV Edition)And on Sunday Abe Partridge is the featured act starting at 8pm. Lots to see and do in this gem of a nook of a cranny. I passed through the area two weeks ago. Your ride to Thomas, WV this time of year is truly spectacular. The mountains, the colors, the air – Blackwater State Park is 8 minutes from The Fiddle and is an incredible space I’d recommend anyone to visit at least once in your lifetime.

Come see us. See Thomas. See West By God Virginia.

Buckeye Lake-Zanesville Gigs

Another strong week in the works for this guy! David Spires Duo gig at the Buckeye Lake Winery this Friday, 6-9pm with Mike Nicklaus.

Saturday 2-6pm at the Boatyard at Buckeye Lake with David Cooper. David’s gonna bring electric, acoustic, and some harmonica! Maybe I’ll toss in a lap steel to add to the variety.

Sunday, I am back at The Barn-Zanesville with Art Motel! Art Motel @ The Barn-Zanesville, 5-8pm. You can hear me on Pedal Steel, Lap Steel, and Dobro with these guys.

Big thanks to all my friends who came out to my gigs this past weekend. Your support means a lot to me, and to the establishments that make live music part of their experience.
